My Story

On April 14, 1992, a blossom was born whom was named Tyeisha Alexis.

I am a blessed wife, published author, behavioral health student, podcaster, blogger, speaker, and mother to five beautiful children. The biggest part of my motivation to keep going is my FAB five.

It was at a very young age that I had my first known encounter with feeling trapped under "concrete" or better known as depression. It was the first of many times that I had to face a psychologist and psychiatrist, after a start with the school counselor. Years later, I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder, depressive type.

That experience, along with many others throughout this short but sweet life of mine, has been one heck of a journey. However, it was those feelings of feeling trapped that gave me this great inspirtaion and drive to help others with mental disorders and other psychological issues, to spread awareness and education on it, to stand alongside others while letting them know that they are not alone, and most importantly to be stigma free!

It was shortly after that I begin to not only bloom and glow through concrete, but I also started walking in my purpose of mental health advocacy!

"Shoutout to all the plants growing through concrete!"

My Mission

My mission is to educate people on and support mental illness through advocacy. From this, I have a vision of breaking that concrete of stigma through spreading knowledge and awareness as well as helping those dealing with mental illness to bloom and glow through their own concrete and feelings of feeling trapped.
